My apologies for posting these very late after receiving these amazing gifts, workwork has been very busy and by the time I can get outside to take photos? It’s dark. Bah! I snuck a little breather in this afternoon and check out these awesome goodies I was so honoured to have been given…!

First, Kat was up for show & tell at our recent-ish FVMQ February meeting and dropped a little pressie on the table in front of me- look what she gave me!

scooter ornament

A glittery scooter ornament! It so goes with my scooter-y theme over at Green Couch. I’ve had a scooter  girl in various incarnations on and off on our website, and every time I’ve not included her, somebody mentions it- “Hey! Where’s scooter girl?” So she is a fixture in Green Couch town. I now have my wee glitter scooter parked by my Eiffel Tower right above my desk and it sure makes me smile! Some day we’ll return to Paris and ride scooters there! Thank you so much again Kat, you are just too sweet!

If that wasn’t awesome enough,  Amy made this gorg little quilt for me. I had taken some of this fabric- restoration by Studio e, with me to our FVMQG retreat at the beginning of February and was working on a paper piecing string quilt of sorts. Kat was collecting everyone’s trimmings and scraps to reuse as stuffing for kitty beds, so when I left, I dumped a pile of tiny- like corners and ends- pieces into her collection bag. FF  to our next FVMQG monthly meeting and Amy gifts me with this amazing quilt, all the coloured bits (except the binding) are from my teeny scraps that she salvaged out of the scrap pile!

And check out the awesome detail and stitching- wowzers!

stitching by Amy

So amazing- thank you so much again Amy!! It is now hanging on my office wall so I can admire it every day.

And, even more awesomeness, check out what arrived in the mail to us this past week, all the way from my friend Bea in Texas!

awesome gift from Bea!

A Hallowe’en quilt made just for us! Oh gosh it’s just fabulous- check out the details…

Each block is different and made up of various hallow’en and black, orange, and white prints. I have to tell you, Bea has an *amazing* eye for combining fabrics and colours. Her quilts are always gorgeous combinations  of colours and prints.

I love how some of the prints aren’t specifically hallowe’en theme too, but they work just perfectly!
And a detail of the back…

 SO awesome.

Of course Starr had to sit on it too, what quilt photo would be complete without her little butt sitting on it! And she matches, complete with her ball lol!

Thank you so much again my dearest Bea, you are truly amazing and inspiring!

So wow, Just wow. I am such a lucky gal to have such awesome friends. I hope one day I can return the favour and spoil you all in return! I’m so thankful to everyone I can be lucky enough to call a friend, you are all amazing, generous, kind-hearted souls and I am so happy to know you whether in person, or just online, you all mean a lot to me. xoxo
